Elizabeth, formerly
a senior at Corvallis High School and now at the University
of Oregon, began her internship at Earth Design Consultants
in the fall of 2001, and is currently helping classify insects
collected from pit-fall traps in Big Bend Nat'l Park. Elizabeth
is interested in a variety of conservation and natural resource
issues and is working towards a degree in environmental studies/
biology. In the past Elizabeth designed and taught lessons
about soil science to elementary school students. Recently,
she began work on a similar project to educate kids about
their local watershed through hands-on activities. Elizabeth
is involved in several environmental and social justice organizations
including Food Not Bombs and Students for Peace through Global
Responsibility.
